Even I knew Steam only rented you it on a "rolling" scheme. That's why I only buy in sales so it's worth it. I've never spent more than ?5 on a game which to me is brilliant as it'd have served its worth by the time Steam close up shop - if they close up shop.

Some games do work in mp even if pirated, but not all.
