The race-station in one of its tidier moments. I used to have a shelf unit under my monitor that held my keyboard up over the wheel's base. The new monitor is too big to do that, so i need to find or make a new one so i can reach the keys without smashing my face/oculus into the steering wheel whenever I blunder around blindly...  :'(

I would love to have an Oculus, when it's in the consumer version anyway, I've heard that in some games it's not always HD.

Man, it looks well silly from the outside :-D
On the other note... I wonder how'd the player movement look like after a half hour of gameplay.

Yeah... If you're into competitive gaming this lefts you with a disadvantage, unlike wheel for racing games.
That's why this (in this form, without weight compensating harness) won't catch on.

Also crouching will by a problem when you're strapped to a ring like that. Neat idea, but perhaps only for virtual museum visits or adventure games.

Hell... Imagine playing "Resident evil" with that! That'd be a serious heart condition waiting to happen!

Yeah, that's my force-feedback skiing sim i/o - worst idea ever...  )

I took the photo from outside - hence the reflection on the glass - so it's a bit ... messy. But here's an enhanced pic using IR night-vision and proprietary edge enhancement software.
