Yeah, i was building one for myself few years ago when my wheel decided to malfunction. it's a very interesting project.
Was also going to build new pedals or at least a clutch pedal and a handbrake.
Now i'm just on mouse

Could you post a few more pictures showing the mechanics of how you coupled pedals movement with potentiometers? I suppose you're using some gears and springs..

haha I had not much time to finish the project , hope to finish it next week. 
I need build the couple but in this pic you can see the springs  :o and will upload one pic where can see how is the couple (made with paint)
