Hi all,
What with the new server move, we had a few issues and a few questions raised of security. After all, it is the 21st century and people are smarter than ever with computers, plus we're in an age where people can't just get along with each other or keep their views to themselves and continue with life.
So, AA has not only moved to new servers, but we've:
- Upgraded our MyBB to the latest version.
- Installed an SSL certificate valid across the whole site.
This has been on the cards for a while since I became Forum Admin, now we've changed hosting it's just easier to get it done. You may need to manually add the SSL exception in your browsers.
- Had our new host verify the security measures in place were safe.
It is recommended you change your passwords as well, just to be on the safe side. You should always change your passwords regularly to maintain security. You know it's secure enough if even you have difficulty remembering it.
With my tinkering, some of the forum data today may have rolled back to the last backup.
If you happen to see anything broken or a window to somewhere you shouldn't be, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Seven and do the decent thing of simply telling us know about it. When it's your data at steak, we want to get it right. You can send me a PM on the forums here, or email [email protected].
Treat others how you'd like to be treated is a saying that's not known enough.
Cheers guys,
Seven
