As I said, the trick to attracting people to the servers is simply being there on the server. If you give people an alternative server to one where the competition might be too intense for a novice driver, or where people are waiting for grid slots to open when the server is full, or the myriad other reasons people might want an alternative place to drive, then they will turn up sooner or later...
I had a server sitter on FBM Historic for a while, and over time it became the most popular demo FBM server on LFS, simply because one driver was there all the time. That's really all you need to do to attract drivers and increase awareness of the server.
But just so you know, it's fine to drive anywhere you like - there's no rule that says you have to drive on AA servers - but doing so will slow your progress in the team.
