G27 vs Nikon D90 - Selene - 10-17-2014
The story begins with me saving money for a trip to France...
... and the story ends with me deciding... not to anymore. (the rest is just... rubbish)
Now, i was thinking about "investing" some of that money into something a bit more useful: a brand new G27 or a second hand Nikon D90.
i know these are totally two different things and maybe i should have both but not for now.
So wot du reckon... pros/cons... ?

Pros for the Nikon... You can use it to take photos. Cons... You can't use it to race LFS.
Seriously, if I were you I'd go for the Nikon first, assuming you're into photography of course

yes, i like photography... entry level/amateur obvioulsy. Still strugglin with aperture/exposure.
And i prefer prime lenses. Zoom lenses are for lazy people ^-^

If I was to base a decision like this on what I use more often, it's the wheel all the way.
I did look at getting a DSLR a while back, but my iPhone camera is just so versatile, and it's always right there in my pocket.
Fyi - you actually need to think more when using a zoom. You can't just leave the aperture wide open otherwise -oops! No more focus... Lol!

i love astronomy and everything related with it, i rather would buy a telescope than a wheel, there's a mouse everytime to choose! Your choice Selene, if you really enjoy and the photographs is a big part of your life - choose Nikon.

As I alluded to at the start, this is not something that anybody else can really answer but you Selene as they are such different things with no common purpose. How much use/enjoyment you will get from each, only you can answer.
Of course there is another way if you can't decide, though - get both!

Why don't you get the camera, save a little more money and get a DFGT or something. Best of both worlds
