Hi guys,
As the topic says, im planning to buy a DFGT wheel. Is it good? Share what you know about this wheel.
Also, when i was watching video about it, i saw someone has recorded when playing in our FBM server ;D

DFGT is a great budget/ mid range wheel. Not too far off the experience of a G27.

I've had one for a few months now and haven't even driven that much and it seems that my force feedback is wearing out. I bought mine used so that might be expected... BUT! Also one of my friends bought one, a little before me, completely new, and his force feedback is even less responsive than mine and I think he's driven about the same on his new wheel as I have on my used. Could be really bad luck too, idk. Or then my hands have got stronger ;D. (Jk, one of our other non-racing friends tried it too when it was new and now, and he said it wasn't strong anymore too.)

I have the DFP, the same wheel without the weird dial on it. FFB is very responsive, although the wheel is quite loud when turning swiftly but it works very well, rugged and I play with headphones so I don't care about the noise.

Yeah, I had a DFP for quite a while and it stood up well to everything I threw at it.

I have dfgt
Pros: The wheel itself is very good. FFB is strong enough and quite responsive. It has 900 degrees with high accuracy, 8192 steps when set to full range. That's almost 0.1 degrees, of minimal recognisable movement. Plenty of buttons, nice sequential gear shifter, with strong clicks. The wheel is sturdy and build of a strong plastic. Imortant stuff inside is made of steel, like big ball bearing holding the wheels shaft. The whole design, motor, gear reductor, shaft, max wheel lock mechanysm, digital optic steer sensor, looks very reliable. The wheel still feels sturdy, no mechanical or electrical dead zones, even after one and a half years of moderate usage. When I bought it, it was already that much old, but in very good condition.
Cons: Pedals and paddle button microswitches are its weak spot. They might feel somewhat luse, but it can be sorted out. No cluch, noisy gear system.
Gas pedal has one spring, while brake has two. One is the same stiffness as of gas pedal and the other one is stronger. So when you press the brake pedal 30-40%, the stonger spring kicks in. I've changed the microswitches for very good ones and streched out springs in pedals (and added some aditional rubber padds between the contact of plastic housing and metal spring, for damping), sprayed the pots with WD40, to clean noise movement. Maybe, I'll take a picture or two, next time I clean them, so you can see the mods I did.
Conclusion: very good wheel for the money, get it. even a used one, but test it first yourself, to make sure everything is working.

I use stock pedals. No problems in 2 and a half years.

I wonder how it is only me and my irl friend with the weak force feedback issue. Wonder if it's Assetto Corsa that has worn/broken it :
