What makes you think this?

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - prasanths96 - 09-30-2014

he joined after banning his "boyfromlight" account, nearly same pb, distance driven = 166kms. Same kind of talking.

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - Seven - 09-30-2014

I'll trust your judgement.

ilikegirls - 999 day ban, obviously common sense says to appeal if it's not the same accuount.

Note: Can someone IP ban this guy?

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - prasanths96 - 10-01-2014

Thanks Smile

P.S : He came with new account today "waitingfortheend"

Pb- nearly same , distance - 197, country - poland, he kinda agreed by using smileys (which are of freshboy's colour pattern) when i asked him abt freshboy , masterjakub or ilikegirls. So .. someone needs to ip ban this guy seriously  :-X  >Sad

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - Seven - 10-01-2014

waitingfortheend - 999 day ban

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - Jacques - 10-02-2014

I don´t think we have any possibility to do IP bans, and it would work only if he has static public IP which is rare.

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - prasanths96 - 10-02-2014

cant we ban his system ip address? cuz log shows the computer's i.p address doesnt it?

I think Jacques has already answered this. IP bans are possible but they are not usually successful because IP addresses are most usually dynamic, i.e. not linked to one computer permanently. Although some IP addresses are "static" it is impossible to tell which are and which aren't. Therefore, if we issue an IP ban we stand a good chance of:

- only temporarily banning the problem user
- banning a whole group of future potential users who are not the problem user

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - prasanths96 - 10-02-2014

I'm not sure what you exactly mean. In BPH logs, i always see unchanged ip adress with ppl who connect (unless they used different pc to connect). What i understand from "Dynamic ip" is the temp ip of internet connection or modem.

Re: Prasanth - Reports. - meddc - 10-02-2014

Yes, some people DO have static IP addresses. And some people have "sticky" IP addresses, i.e. the ISP tends to give them the same one but it's not guaranteed. And some people will appear to have the same IP address for several days as they have maintained a constant connection with their ISP during that time. But some people do not and many will change their IP address over the medium and longer term. In other words, it's not wholly reliable to ban someone by IP.
