Applying for AS Membership - READ THIS FIRST! - AOR Nova - 02-10-2018

This post is for anyone who, for any reason,
wants to apply to join the Air Support Motorsport team.

Before you apply, you should also read the
Air Support Code of Conduct, which applies to all users
of Air Attack Racing servers and forums.

Air Support (AS) is primarily a demo team, and is a subsidary/sister team to Air Attack Racing.

Most of the action happens at our demo servers, where the race format is usually short sprint races.
Air Support provides a path to advance to Air Attack Racing, as well as to perfect driving and to learn from the seniors in the team.

AS does accept applications from drivers with S2 licences, but you should be aware that our participation in League racing is left to interested individuals to organise between themselves. Support - other than moral - for endeavours other than demo-related pursuits is limited at this time.

Applying for Air Support Motorsport team membership

Prospective applicants should not be a member of any other LFS-based teams, and may not join other LFS-based teams while they are a member of Air Support. This includes Drift and Cruise teams. Any admin privileges granted by other teams may be retained, as long as there are no naming or skin conditions or other similar restrictions placed upon them.

If you have support from a AA/AS member online, ask them if you can quote their name on your application, as it would definitely help!

We prefer that every applicant has at least 300 laps done on Air Attack servers (shown by !pi command). This number shows the driver is really interested and makes it probable he's known among current members. Personal best time is not important, but obviously it should be something reasonable, preferbly in the "good lap" category. The safety rating is, on the other hand, quite important, and while it depends on the server type, it should certainly be over 75%, 80% would be the preferred value.

If you think you meet the outlined conditions
and understand the conditions of the Code of Conduct,
please register in the applicable section for your favoured class
by doing the following:

Start a new thread with the title "Membership Application - [your racing name]". Only one thread per application.

Copy and paste the following text into your post, then fill in the required information:

LFS Account name:
Racing name:
Desired racing name including the AS tag:
To find your AA Airio stats, use !pi command while in-server
Number of laps on AA servers:
Your safety rating:
Your personal best(s):

If you enjoy other classes (eg. Applying for GTi, but also racing RallyX) feel free to list them and their relevant records here too:

Any other personal data you want to share, e.g. why you want to join, your name, age, location, occupation, etc.:

---

Your membership application would be discussed among team members and the outcome posted back. The minimum time for an application to be processed is 1 week. In that week, our current members will get to know you on servers and see how you are as a person and driver. They are the ones that will decide if you are accepted for or denied membership based on their experience of you.

Hints for a successful application

Make sure to carefully supply the required information. If you don't, it tends to suggest that you might not be organised enough to be of use to the team.

It may be helpful to give a short description of your LFS career so far, including favourite cars and servers, other teams you've been in, etc.

Good luck.
