Re: Show me your workstation - Vim Fuego - 10-10-2014 The race-station in one of its tidier moments. I used to have a shelf unit under my monitor that held my keyboard up over the wheel's base. The new monitor is too big to do that, so i need to find or make a new one so i can reach the keys without smashing my face/oculus into the steering wheel whenever I blunder around blindly... :'( Re: Show me your workstation - Seven - 10-11-2014 I would love to have an Oculus, when it's in the consumer version anyway, I've heard that in some games it's not always HD. > This video though... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP48cLFeBms Re: Show me your workstation - joruss - 10-11-2014 (10-11-2014, 07:57 AM)Seven link Wrote:I would love to have an Oculus, when it's in the consumer version anyway, I've heard that in some games it's not always HD.Man, it looks well silly from the outside :-D On the other note... I wonder how'd the player movement look like after a half hour of gameplay. - "Hey, hey... wait, I'm out of breath... give me a sec..." Re: Show me your workstation - Seven - 10-11-2014 Ahaha Imagine whole servers where everyone had one so there was that fatigue factor there... So cool... If you're into competitive gaming this lefts you with a disadvantage, unlike wheel for racing games. That's why this (in this form, without weight compensating harness) won't catch on. Also crouching will by a problem when you're strapped to a ring like that. Neat idea, but perhaps only for virtual museum visits or adventure games. Hell... Imagine playing "Resident evil" with that! That'd be a serious heart condition waiting to happen! Re: Show me your workstation - Seven - 10-11-2014 Oh man Re: Show me your workstation - Vim Fuego - 10-11-2014 I was backing up some old phone photos today and found this one from last year at my old house literally a man-cave, with my bed above, no natural light... ...but at the other end of the house was this... ...so i was ok with it 8) Re: Show me your workstation - meddc - 10-11-2014 Found the pic I posted on a similar topic a while back... Re: Show me your workstation - prasanths96 - 10-11-2014 @vim : Where the heck is the wheel ??? ??? i only see this in dat "no natural lighting" pic Re: Show me your workstation - Vim Fuego - 10-13-2014 Yeah, that's my force-feedback skiing sim i/o - worst idea ever... ) I took the photo from outside - hence the reflection on the glass - so it's a bit ... messy. But here's an enhanced pic using IR night-vision and proprietary edge enhancement software. |
